Spicy Roasted Chickpeas


  • 1 tin of chickpeas
  • 1tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1tsp paprika
  • 1tsp cumin
  • 1tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch chilli powder
  • Pinch of salt and pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius
  2. Drain your can of chickpeas (you can keep liquid from chickpeas, called aquafaba, for egg substitute or to make plant-based mayo) and pour them into a large bowl
  3. Add oil, spices, salt and pepper to the chickpeas and mix until they are all evenly coated
  4. Spread the chickpeas onto a baking tray. Make sure to line your baking tray with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet
  5. Pop the tray into the oven for 30 minutes
